Job Details: Job Summary: To provide a project control and reporting service to Project Managers. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To update and maintain the Invoicing / Financial Model for the Revenue Collection Contract (RCC)
  • To keep the Project Accountants and Project Manager informed and advised on billings, retentions, debtors and cash flow relating to individual projects
  • To prepare monthly project reports in accordance with the RCC timetable.
  • To investigate and follow up on any variances which may arise
  • To liaise with financial accounts and commercial teams and ensure that queries are followed up
  • To meet with project managers prior to the monthly review meetings to agree project status including contract values and estimates to completion
  • To attend monthly invoicing resolution meeting with TTL relating to the RCC Invoicing / Financial Model
  • To continually foster inter-departmental relationships to ensure positive and professional reflection of department.
  • Provide any additional duties/support as required by Senior Project Accountant / Senior Financial Analyst
  • Comply with Cubic's Quality Management System.
  • Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
  • Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisation
  • Other duties as requested

    Degree or equivalent in an engineering or business related discipline
  • Computer literate and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to use own initiative to drive continuous improvement
  • Experience at building and maintaining strong relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels
  • Desirable:
  • Actively studying ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
  • Skills/Experience/Knowledge
  • Project/contract accounting experience
  • Previous experience of SAP
  • Previous experience in an office environment
