Full Job Description

This role offers the successful candidate an opportunity to be part of a prestigious and dynamic, top-tier professional indemnity team, supporting a range of clients with highly technical and complex work. This role will include supervising and supporting more junior members of the team, a significant role in BD, profile and the team's growth in London, networking bother externally with clients and internally within the firm (both nationally and globally), and will foster a collaborative team approach., Building business relationships: establishing, maintaining and using relationships to create and develop business opportunities

  • The ideal candidate would hold previous experience acting on a range of coverage disputes and advisory matters in the financial, professional and management lines space.

  • Hold strong knowledge of the FCA-regulated space and FOS procedure with previous experience working on financial lines and coverage matters.

  • Display intellectual versatility and a breath of experience across various coverage and liability matters.

  • Display excellent technical legal skills including drafting and strategy management, as well as managing and prioritising a full and varied caseload and supporting in practice management.

  • Have connections with clients in the insurance market and have started building a profile and network of contacts and potential clients. Ideally, will have successfully completed a secondment with an insurer/broker.

  • We are ideally looking for a candidate with a minimum of 4 PQE. Please note that our PQE levels are a guide and all suitable candidates will be considered.

  • Be an excellent team player, positively contributing to the team in respect of all Clyde & Co competencies (listed below).

  • The Solicitors Act 1974 requires practicing solicitors to have a practicing certificate.

  • Successful completion of a Training Contract (or equivalent) and relevant education (Legal Practice Course; Graduate Diploma in Law (if non Law Graduate)., Technical legal expertise: the knowledge of the law and ability to apply it


  • Research: the ability to conduct research effectively and apply it commercially
