Full Job Description

As one of our Freelance Associate Consultants, you'll be responsible for providing expert fire safety advice and recommendations to our clients. This could include:

  • Working with our diverse range of clients, providing competent fire safety and health and safety advice
  • Undertaking fire risk assessments (Type 1 and Type 3) and general risk assessments in high rise residential and/or commercial buildings

If so, we'd love to hear from you!, 5+ years' risk assessment experience within the built environment in residential and commercial buildings
  • 5+ years' experience undertaking fire risk assessments
  • Good working knowledge of Approved Document B
  • Good working knowledge of BS 9999 / 9997
  • Experience with complex buildings and engineered solutions within the built environment
  • Must have NEBOSH General Certification or equivalent as minimum
  • Education suitable to be competent to carry out Fire risk assessments on HRRBs
  • Recognised fire safety memberships e.g. AIFireE, MIFireE, GIFireE, MIFSM or MIFPO (ADVANTAGEOUS)
  • Willing to apply for or have registered on any of the following fire risk assessors registers IFSM, FRACS, IFPO or IFE
  • Must be happy to undertake Fire Risk Assessments and General Risk Assessments at the same time
  • Experience with General Risk Assessments in buildings
  • Strong interpersonal skills and report writing abilities as well as a comprehensive understanding of current UK regulations

  • The majority of our work is in and around London. However, you will be required to travel to other major UK cities such as Birmingham and Manchester from time to time, so you must have the flexibility and willingness to travel as required
