Full Job Description

As an Assurance Manager, you will:

  • Undertake expert, robust, evidenced, risk-based assurance activity of suppliers across DWP health assessment and employment support services.
  • Gather and analyse information across a range of scope areas, including governance, service delivery, claims and payment controls, Provide opinions and detailed reports on the strengths and weaknesses of suppliers' controls.
  • Lead and contribute to allocated reviews, managing own and colleagues' time, making the best use of resource, ensuring reviews allocated are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure that review activity complies with PAT policy, quality standards, procedures and methodology, including meetings with providers at key stages and maintaining accurate records.
  • Draft written reports for the Director of Contract Management and Partnerships Directorate, suppliers and internal stakeholders which are accurate, timely and well written.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to share information and provide advice and guidance to improve their controls and assurance activity.
  • Commit to obtaining or maintaining relevant qualifications to enable you to best perform your role.
  • Contribute to making Controls and Assurance Division and DWP a great place to work.
  • Have experience and/or a desire to build your expertise in governance, risk management, audit or assurance.

DWP is looking to fill 2 roles in Contract Management Partner Delivery (CMPD) directorate.
