Full Job Description

Term: Fixed-term initially for 12 months, with possibility to extend

Working Hours: Part-time (15 hours per week)

An opportunity has arisen to be part of the Resettlement Services team supporting newly granted refugees across the Borough.

The role

The Asylum Support Assistant will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative service for the Council's Asylum and Refugee Services.

Outline duties will include monitoring spend and income, preparing and submitting funding claims and using data to track and quantify the impact of emerging refugee communities on access to internal and external services.

Significant experience of clerical and office administration duties
The ability to converse at ease with customers and colleagues
Good organisational skills with the ability to meet targets and deadlines
The ability to accurately input and extract information from systems and spreadsheets
The ability to work occasional unsociable hours as required.

Generous annual leave of between 35.5 and 40.5 of leave (depending on length of service), inclusive of bank holidays
