We are seeking an Atomic Force Microscopy, Sales Manager to join our UK Sales Team within Materials Analysis. Our Sales team orchestrate high value, highly technical sales processes, and as such the person joining this team will have the opportunity to learn, grow, develop and work with Customers across Academia and Industry. This role would suit someone who has a deep understanding of both technical aspects of AFM and, ideally, an intimate knowledge of AFM market landscape across UK and Ireland. It will be pivotal in supporting new and existing customers through the sales process and providing aftercare sales support. Role Location:
Our Sales Team is field-based, and this role will cover the UK and Ireland. There will be the occasional requirement to be on-site at our High Wycombe office, for Team Meetings, Product training and so on.
About You
The UK AFM Sales Manager will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

-Science degree or higher and/or equivalent relevant experience.
-A good understanding of Atomic Force Microscopy and its main applications in both industry and academia.
-Ideally, an intimate knowledge of the UK/Ireland AFM market landscape
-A demonstrated experience to convey complex technical problems through impactful presentations at conferences or workshops.
-Awareness of the market competition and main AFM manufacturers.
-Proactive and inquisitive mindset to identify new sales opportunities in the region.
-A customer facing attitude with acute attentiveness to their research interests, publications and new developments.
-Ability to adjust the behaviours and selling strategy based on the cultural requirements.
Key Responsibilities

-Manage the sales process for the Asylum Research and WITec business units in the region.
-Responsibility for all market-relevant activities.
-Proactive & independent identification of leads, creation of and follow-up on opportunities and maintaining up to date journal and CRM data.
-Competent customer facing consultation and quotation generation for all I.T products.
-Assistance and guidance in customer journey during procurement process.
-Profit oriented price setting and negotiation.
-Independent generation and presentation of sales pitches.
-Timely preparation and submission of correct and suitable tendering documents in public purchasing procedures.
-Maintaining a trustworthy and steady relationship with new and existing customers.
-Business development in the territory.
-Organisation and implementation of marketing measures in cooperation with our marketing department.
