Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with the passion and drive to be part of an exciting project commissioned by the DFE that delivers targeted, responsive, one-to-one support for persistently and severely absent pupils across a number of Education Investment Areas (EIA).

The pilot started in Middlesbrough in October 2022 and then rolled out to four additional investment areas in September 2023 which are Salford, Doncaster, Stoke on Trent and Knowsley.

The successful candidate will be able:

  • To develop robust partnership working with schools

  • To support the identification, engagement and mentor support for pupils who are eligible for support within the project

  • To hold a case load of pupils to engage in mentoring support

  • To actively engage in the evaluation of the project


  • If you have the experience of working in the education system, developing working relationships and have the skills and experience to engage mentor and support pupils who are persistently absent from education then we would like to hear from you.

    Please note the successful candidate will be required to hold a current driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
