Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time, term time only enthusiastic Attendance Officer to join the College's Tutorial Team. You will work in conjunction with Progress Tutors to identify student attendance issues and patterns of absence/late arrivals. Contact with parents/carers over all aspects of attendance including written correspondence when required. Produce attendance reports for Tutorial Manager on a weekly basis and other individual reports when requested.
You will have the ability to identify and work with individuals and groups of students where attendance is below college expectations. You will collate and share information with the Tutorial Manager and or Senior Tutors regarding students experiencing difficulties with attending college and help to develop strategies to promote punctuality of all students. You must demonstrate knowledge of pastoral issues affecting young people, knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety. Experience of working with young people is essential.
