Attendance and Welfare Officer at Mulberry UTC Contract Type: Permanent Start Date: ASAP Salary: NJC SCALE 5 (12-15) £31,716 - £33,204 pro rata Working Arrangement: Term Time plus 2 weeks 8.30am-4.30pm Hours: 35 hours per week Closing date for all applications: Friday 18th October 12pm We are looking for an experienced Attendance and Welfare Officer to take on a key role within the pastoral and safeguarding team at Mulberry UTC. The successful candidate will have:

  • successful previous experience in a similar role or with appropriate background
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • an ability to relate well to young people and adults, and to work constructively as part of a diverse team
  • an understanding of relevant legislation relating to safeguarding and child protection.
  • commitment to forming positive relationships with young people and adults in a school environment
  • the ability to work successfully in a busy school environment
