Full Job Description

Based at York Hospital, duties will mainly include the audio typing of outpatient/admin letters and dealing with any subsequent instruction as indicated by the dictation.

  • Audio typing of outpatient clinic, discharge and general administrative letters.

  • Filing, photocopying and other administrative tasks as necessary.

  • Provide typing and administrative support to the medical secretary team as requires.

  • Respond in a professional and sensitive manner when dealing withconfidential issues.

    We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work effectively using their own initiative with the ability to transcribe complex digital dictation, as well as being part of a team


  • The successful candidate will posses GCSE English Language, Grade C or above, or equivalent. They must also possess excellent typing skills or RSA II level qualification as well as previous clerical/administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or customer based setting.
