Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a band 5 permanent Audiologist at Stepping Hill Hospital. The successful applicant will undertake a range of specialist diagnostic tests on adults and assist with testing of paediatrics. They will also provide aural rehabilitation and hearing aid services for patients with hearing impairment of all ages. Training opportunities to support clinics and career development will also be offered.

There will also be opportunities to support a newly set up Vestibular testing clinic. We are currently in the process of applying for IQIPs accreditation which the successful applicant will be involved in along with the whole team.

Main duties of the job

Provide rehabilitative advice and reassurance to a wide range of hearing impaired patients, including those with additional sensory or learning disabilities.

Assist a senior colleague for testing on all ages of paediatrics

Complete home visits.

Use Audiology patient management system to record patient details, test results, earmould details, and hearing aid settings and maintenance.

Liaise with other Trust departments and health professionals as necessary
