Were seeking a dedicated Audiology Specialist to join our team and make a real difference within our ENT Intermediate service. In this role, youll provide essential diagnostic audiology services to NHS patients referred by local GPs. Your clinical expertise and commitment to excellence will ensure smooth, accurate audiology assessments that uphold the highest standards of care and compassion. Main duties of the job As an Audiology Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering diagnostic audiology services to NHS patients referred by local GPs. Your primary duties include conducting comprehensive hearing assessments, interpreting results, and providing clear and compassionate explanations to patients regarding their hearing health. You will work closely with the ENT team to determine effective treatment plans, refer patients when needed, and support their self-management. Additionally, maintaining accurate records and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care are essential aspects of this role. This position is ideal for someone committed to excellence in patient care and clinical collaboration., Conduct diagnostic hearing tests for patients with Ear Nose and Throat conditions, including audiograms, tympanograms, and pure tone air / bone conduction tests. Ensure prompt referral to ENT specialists when necessary, in accordance with clinical pathways. Maintain open communication with referring GP's to enhance clinical awareness and collaboration. Adhere to Significant Event Analysis procedures and report untoward events in a timely manner. Collaborate with local Audiology / ENT services and secondary care clinicians to improve patient care pathways. Deliver a quality service in compliance with professional codes of conduct and regulatory standards. Prioritize and manage workload to maintain quality and promote patient safety. Participate in quality governance systems, audits, and evaluations to drive continuous improvement. Support professional development through ongoing learning and training activities.
