Full Job Description

  • You can be undertaking routine and occasionally complex clinical caseloads in general Audiology without supervision
  • You will be a member of a Multidisciplinary Team within the Audiology service
  • You will be performing diagnostic assessment of the hearing and analyse the results on children under 18.
  • You can be completing follow up reviews of existing hearing aid users, RESPONSIBLE FOR :
    • To perform and analyse diagnostic hearingassessments on children over the age of 36 months. Examination of the pinna, external auditorycanal and tympanic membrane to identify normal and healthy features usingotoscopy. Recognizing contraindications to performingfurther procedures and appropriate referral to ENT, Dressing Clinic, GP,Treatment Rooms and Radiology. Provides day to day supervision of more juniorstaff (, Associate or Assistant Audiologists, and less experiencedAudiologists)

  • BSc Audiology Degree or equivalent
  • RCCP Registered or if newly qualified working towards registration
  • Relevant experience at working at Band 5 level within a Paediatric department
  • Evidence of clinical competence
