Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit an Audiology Secretary who will work as part of the secretaries team in Audiology at West Park Hospital. You will provide an efficient and confidential service, ensuring the professional image of the Service is maintained at all times., The post holder provides a comprehensive, effective, accurate and timely service to audiologists, patients and the management team.

The role will encompass dealing with patients, clinical and non-clinical staff, face to face and by telephone; subsequently you will require excellent communications skills. A flexible approach to this role is essential to ensure the demands of the service are met.

As part of the team you will be undertaking audio typing on a regular basis and where accuracy is essential.

Working knowledge of all common computer applications including word is desirable, as you will be required to carry out a wide range of transactions and associated data input. Specialist training will be given on 'in house' systems.

You should have a good standard of general education and have attained or be in the process of attaining qualifications in English & Mathematics i.e. GSCE or equivalent. You will also require a clear understanding of the concept of confidentiality of personal health information., The post holder will have strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritise, with particular attention to detail. The post holder will provide a high quality experience ensuring the correct information is provided in the most efficient and effective way.

The post holder will work to high standards of customer service and be sensitive to the needs of each individual, responding to a wide range of needs, to ensure service user satisfaction.
