Full Job Description

We're seeking a talented person to join our Audit Team in Beaconsfield, who will be responsible for undertaking a wide variety of audit assignments to a high standard of technical competence, delivered with a good degree of autonomy, and within budget and client expectations.

As Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include among others

  • Complying with the firm's operating procedures on all assignments to deliver a consistent, high quality output

  • Regularly communicating with managers, Principals and other colleagues to update on progress with assigned work

  • Timely and cost effective completion of tasks assigned, meeting deadlines and budgets to deliver an excellent standard of output with good fee recovery

  • Training, mentoring and supervising more junior team members, supporting their growth as they progress through the firm

  • Facilitating team work and spirit within the team

  • At a senior level, we would expect your role to comprise up to 70-80% of audit and 20-30% of other ad hoc projects

    To be successful in this role, you should

  • Must have an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA)

  • Have demonstrable audit UK market experience gained within a professional services firm

  • Have experience planning, undertaking and completing a wide variety of audit assignments under FRS 102

  • Have experience planning, undertaking and finalising a variety of statutory audit assignments, compliant with ISAs

  • Be able to monitor costs against budget for clients


  • Desired
  • Previous experience planning, undertaking and completing a wide variety of accounts assignments under FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 105, of varying sizes and complexity

  • Previous exposure to IFRS

  • Exposure to specialist audit assignments
