Full Job Description

Learning and Development (L&D) is a key enabler of our strategy as an Audit Stream and critical to our success. It supports our ability to attract, develop and retain talented people who take pride in their work and successfully deliver for our business. Effective L&D underpins quality and productivity by supporting our people to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their work, helping them reach their personal and professional potential.

Effective L&D does not happen by chance. It requires specialist resources who partner with the Audit Stream to identify training needs and appropriately respond to them. Careful planning and project management are necessary, as are a critical-thinking and commercial mindset, and an understanding of regulatory requirements. Effective L&D needs consideration of the latest innovation, tools and technology to support development of leading personal and professional development that is tailored, relevant and timely for our people.

There is currently an opportunity for a talented, high performing and ambitious individual to join the Audit L&D team for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will join L&D during an exciting period where we will be developing and delivering on a new curriculum plan as part of our wider Audit L&D strategy. This role reports to the Business Partnering and Implementation Lead.

Learning Implementation team (LI)

Learning Implementation aims to provide our learners with the best possible learning experience. It is the team responsible for ensuring that our learning programmes are delivered effectively, leading on overall project, risk, financial and commercial management of our programmes. Key responsibilities include managing all logistical elements of our programmes, including but not limited to planning, scheduling, and managing our programmes, sourcing suppliers and venues, building curriculums onto our learner management system, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating the Faculty (tutor pool). This team also works closely with the Monitoring and Reporting team to analyse data / evaluate our programmes.

Key responsibilities

Together with the Learning & Faculty Coordinators, L&D Projects Assistants support the Learning & Development Projects Assistant Manager and the Senior Learning & Development Coordinator with the implementation processes - the 'making the Learning happen'. Their focus is primarily projects activities, but they may also support operational queries such as course dates, required attendees, facilitator requirements etc., as well as other activities across the end-to-end learning cycle such as development tasks, on-site support and compliance, as needed. They also support the Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance Manager with formal compliance requirements and reporting activities, alongside the coordinators in each of these areas.

L&D Project Assistants can be based anywhere in the UK. Travel to the London office, where Audit L&D is based, as well as some travel to other offices and external venues will be required. Support on courses (on-site) will require residential stays in some instances. This role is maternity cover and is 12 months in length.
