Full Job Description

Statement of job purpose: The role will be to undertake structured autism assessments, and to contribute to wider multi-disciplinary team discussions around the presence of autism for those accessing the service. The role will play a key function in the delivery of our aftercare service for those having received a positive diagnosis of autism. Key responsibilities: Clinical To undertake skilled autism diagnostic assessments (ADOS informed and/ or ADI-R) and obtain sufficient detailed developmental history through clinical interview to make a decision on diagnosis. To operate as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team, contributing to discussions, decision making and providing feedback as required. To clearly communicate the outcome of assessments with those accessing the service, family members (where appropriate) and professionals, in written and verbal formats. To develop defensible written reports or information resources, presenting complex information in a clear and
accessible way. To develop and participate in post diagnostic webinars. To contribute to the development and delivery of other aftercare offers. To write topical articles or discussion points for the Autism 360 website. To maintain accurate, professional and timely records of all contacts and assessments undertaken. To uphold the professional standards of Autism 360, the wider ADHD 360 LTD organisation and those of your own statutory body. To attend relevant training and development in order to maintain and develop skills and knowledge required to support those accessing the service. To maintain current knowledge of evidence base and good practice through engagement with variety of opportunities such as conferences, courses and meetings. To contribute to audits, use reflective learning, peer discussions and development opportunities and action planning to generate ideas and create increasing quality within the clinical practice. To maintain registration of your statutory body. General /
administration To prepare for and participate in regular clinical and managerial supervision. To carry out all administrative tasks reasonably associated with the nature of the role. To adopt a supportive and constructive approach with others in the team. To follow wider ADHD 360 LTD policies and procedures. To undertake other duties as required to enhance the quality experience of those accessing the service. To be responsible for your own health and safety, and maintain an effective home working environment.
