We are looking for an Autism Support Coordinator. The overall objective of the Adult Autism short-term support service is to provide time-limited support to autistic adults which informs and empowers them to maximise opportunities to develop their skills and achieve personal outcomes that improve quality of life, economic independence, and social integration, whilst gaining a sense of personal accomplishment and identity.
As the first point of contact for referrals from Norfolk County Council's social care team the role is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of a flexible, person-centred service to autistic adults that will include drop-in support and scheduled appointments with allocated Autism Support Coaches. The post holder will possess a good understanding of the needs of autistic adults alongside excellent organisational, administrative and customer service skills.
The coordinator will also assist in the delivery of the service including supporting the Autism Support Coaches with sickness/holiday cover by working directly with participants via electronic/phone/email/face-to-face mediums to ensure continuous engagement and wrap-around support.
This position requires travel around the county and the ability to work flexible hours so a driving licence and access to your own transport is desirable.
