Full Job Description
The Role: In this new position, you will play a crucial role in supporting our growing business by providing high-quality CAD designs that align with building regulations. Your work will directly support our sales, estimating, and production teams, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.,
- Your responsibilities will include interpreting spreadsheet schedules or hand drawn sketches to produce high quality presentation drawings for modular buildings, large multi story buildings, elevations, foundation pad layouts and site plans.
- Amend, review and issue drawings, record amendments and maintain files.
You should be familiar with AutoCAD and Revit (Revit not essential) and have a working knowledge of Microsoft office applications. - Be a 'can do' person with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You will have a good technical ability, be a quick learner with strong attention to detail and be passionate about accuracy.
- Work well under pressure in our busy office.
- Good timekeeping., + Strong experience with AutoCAD; + Proven ability to create detailed and accurate CAD drawings for modular buildings. + Understanding of building regulations and standards relevant to modular construction. 2. Experience: + Demonstrable experience in a CAD design role, preferably within the modular building or construction industry. + Experience in translating technical requirements into precise design specifications. 3. Attention to Detail: + High level of accuracy in producing drawings and technical documentation. + Ability to identify and rectify errors or discrepancies in design work. 4. Communication Skills: + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to effectively collaborate with sales, estimating, and production teams to ensure design alignment with project needs. 5. Technical Knowledge: + Strong understanding of building regulations and their application in modular building design. + Familiarity with industry best practices and standards. 6. Problem-Solving Abilities: + Proactive and solution-oriented approach to overcoming design challenges. + Ability to adapt designs based on feedback and regulatory updates. 7. Organisational Skills: + Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. + Effective record-keeping and documentation of design changes and project specifications. 8. Work Ethic: + High level of professionalism and dedication to producing high-quality work. + Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 9. Technical Aptitude: + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication. + Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and technologies as required. 10.
