Full Job Description

Objective of the Role: We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Automation Lead to join our team and contribute to our growth story. Working closely with the Chief Customer Officer, and the Product and Development teams you will play a pivotal role in leveraging our suite of intelligent automation technologies to drive customer business efficiency and innovation. You will work with clients across our key sectors to understand and analyse business processes & identify automation opportunities that will streamline operations and enhance productivity. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects from initiation to completion including defining project objectives, creating project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, documenting requirements, and analysing business processes to identify areas for improvement.


  • Data Analysis: Collecting, organising, and analysing data from process mining and other tools to uncover insights and trends that can inform business decisions, automation pipeline and strategy execution.


  • Process Mapping and Optimisation: Mapping out existing business processes, identifying inefficiencies or bottlenecks, and proposing optimised workflows to support operational efficiency and automation design and build.


  • Solution Design and Documentation: Working with internal and external stakeholders to design and document automation solutions that address business requirements.


  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Supporting UAT and and quality assurance activities to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of developed automation solutions. Collaborating with stakeholders to address any issues or bugs that arise and ensuring smooth deployment and triaging ongoing support.


  • Training and Support: Providing training and support to users and stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition to automated processes. Assisting with troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and continuously monitoring and optimising the performance of implemented automations.

    Experience in identifying and analysing business processes to identify automation opportunities and recommend intelligent automation solutions that streamline operations and enhance productivity.

  • Strong data analysis skills to gather, interpret, and leverage data insights to drive informed decision-making in the design and implementation of intelligent automation solutions.

  • Experience in managing multiple time critical projects including defining project objectives, creating project plans, managing resources, and mitigating risks.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful implementation of intelligent automation projects.

  • Proficiency in intelligent automation technologies, such as robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML), with a strong understanding of their capabilities and applications.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify complex business problems, evaluate potential automation solutions, and make informed recommendations that align with organisational goals and objectives.

  • (Desired) Familiarity with business process modelling techniques and frameworks specific to intelligent automation, such as Process Mining, to accurately map and optimise automated workflows.


  • Location: Niico supports hybrid working from the UK. Our Office is in London, and there is an expectation that the team come together twice a month for meetings and team building. Client engagements can be UK-wide and are usually a combination of on-site and remote as needed.

    Salary: Up to £55K
