Full Job Description

  • Install, Monitor and Maintain server room physical infrastructure - Sky, Comcast and third-party hardware & Device Farm Rack Infrastructure.

  • Pro-actively investigate networking, provisioning and other infrastructure problems.

  • Second-line support for multiple Device Farms.

  • Maintain and Improve multiple Automation Systems via constant process improvement, tool development, simplification and efficiency gains.

  • Co-ordinate with other teams and Infrastructure Lead on issues impacting automation racks, Portals and dashboards.

  • Report on the state of multiple Device Farms, gathering insights into productivity, efficiency and availability.

    Pro-active, resourceful and collaborative approach to problem solving and owning solutions.

  • Attention to detail and ability to apply root-cause analysis to problems.

  • In depth knowledge of hardware features, bring-up and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of Bash and Python as a scripting language.

  • Experience of Jenkins.

  • Experience of CPE testing systems.

  • Experience of using Linux/OSX command line.

  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and tools, subnets, VLANs, switch configuration, DHCP, DNS

  • Simplifying communications within the team and for customers and partners.

  • Desire to learn new technologies and develop knowledge and skills on the job.
