Full Job Description

As an Automation Tester at IBM, your technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create, and your recommendations and findings will help us make sure we're delivering the best of the best. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to our clients and IBM alike. In your role you may be responsible for:

  • Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Katalon, Cucumber, etc.
  • Create test data and test environments.
  • Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead and identify errors and validate successes for any software solution.
  • Identify, understand, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications.
  • Do a deep-dive and present test results to clients and project teams clearly.
  • Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of web technologies including java, JavaScript, OpenAPI, React.
  • Knowledge of test automation and associated test tooling e.g., Cucumber, Jenkins & Puppeteer.
  • Knowledge of the project lifecycle in software delivery.
  • Understanding of testing process, techniques, and their application.
  • An aptitude for understanding the more technical elements of a system and the environments, how the systems interface and connect.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Desired skills:
  • Testing background with experience in interface/connectivity testing.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and associated business processes.
  • Experience of Atlassian tools; Confluence, JIRA, XRAY
  • Oracle HCM and/or Oracle ERP knowledge.
  • Experience of Integration testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts.
  • Ability to thrive in an ever changing, technology based Consulting environment, using agile.
