Full Job Description
As an Avionics Team Leader, you will lead a team of technicians and mechanics to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of avionics systems while upholding safety and quality standards. This role involves coordinating daily operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering excellence aligned with Bombardier's standards and customer expectations. You will collaborate with other departments to drive operational success at the service centre.,
- Avionics Maintenance: Oversee maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
- Hands-On Maintenance: Perform troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks while documenting work according to manuals and regulations.
- Operational Meetings: Attend GEMBA and pre-input meetings, updating boards and supporting avionic task allocations as required.
- Technical Oversight: Provide guidance and troubleshooting support for complex avionics systems to ensure effective issue resolution.
- Quality Control: Monitor and inspect avionic maintenance tasks to meet Bombardier and industry standards.
- Training & Development: Mentor team members to enhance technical skills and promote continuous improvement.
- Customer Communication: Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries, updates, and progress reports regarding avionics work in your quad.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health, safety, environmental regulations, and company protocols .
- Documentation: Oversee accurate reporting of maintenance tasks, including work orders, technical reports, and logbook entries.
Hold UK CAA & EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License (B2, and/or C), with type ratings on Bombardier business aircraft, including Challenger 300s, Challenger 600s, and Global series. - Comprehensive understanding of Part-M, Part-145, Appendix I to Part-66, and other relevant aviation regulations.
- Minimum 6 months of aircraft or component maintenance experience within the last two years, including work on relevant aircraft types per license (sub)category.
- Knowledge and application of human factors, EWIS, CDCCL, and compliance with recurrent/continuation training requirements.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, delegate Cat C responsibilities appropriately, and coordinate daily work plans efficiently.
- Ensure maintenance tasks comply with Bombardier procedures, airworthiness standards, and proper task/shift handovers.
- Authorized to sign Certificates of Release to Service after base maintenance, ensuring all required work is complete or deferrals are documented.
