AWS Solution Architect

The Cloud Data Platforms team is part of the Insights and Data Global Practice and has seen strong growth and continued success across a variety of projects and sectors, Cloud Data Platforms is the home of the Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, Solutions Architects and Business Analysts who are focused on driving our customers digital and data transformation journey using the modern cloud platforms.

Your Role

We are looking for strong AWS Solution Architects who are passionate and focused on data solutions and AWS technology and who ideally have skills in many of the following areas :

• Shaping and owning the end-to-end AWS data solutions, you will be expected to provide leadership and direction to technical teams whilst managing key Capgemini and client delivery stakeholders.


• Identify opportunities and offerings through AWS data technologies for client delivery and Capgemini services.


• Provide technical mentorship and guidance through knowledge and experience to Capgemini colleagues., Our projects are varied, sometimes you may be asked to help define a client's data visualisation transformation roadmap, other times you may be rolling your sleeves up and creating an innovative data platform, for a complex business problem or even assisting in responding to client bid responses.


Your Security Clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.

To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.

Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.

Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.

• Has demonstrable experience of designing architectures and leading technical delivery for Data focused AWS project.


• Knowledge of other Cloud Platforms and SaaS offerings such as Azure, GCP, Snowflake & Databricks


• Relevant industry recognised certifications, such as TOGAF, AWS Solution Architect etc


• Experience of delivering projects using relevant Data Architectural paradigms such as Kimball, Data Vault, Data Mesh, Lakehouse


• Demonstrable knowledge of key AWS services such as S3, EMR, Redshift, Athena, Lambda


• Excellent stakeholder management skills
