Full Job Description

Affinity Flying Training Services are looking for an enthusiastic and motived B1 Licensed Engineer to join our team at RAF Valley. Affinity Flying Services are contracted as the Fixed Wing Service Provider under the UKMFTS PFI Contract. We will provide Aircraft to be used by the Military to deliver Elementary Flying Training (EFT) and Multi Engine Flying Training with both EASA and MAA Part M and Part 145 approvals across multiple sites. Candidates must hold a CAA B1.1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence. This is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday, on a rotating early and late shift pattern basis. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Carry out and certify routine and non-routine maintenance including defect rectification within the line and base maintenance environment, working within both the CAA & MAA Regularity requirements.
  • Updating maintenance records within the company's maintenance information software.
  • Supervising and monitoring the performance of engineering staff (Technicians), providing guidance when appropriate.
  • Support Affinity operations, as required.
  • Promote, endorse, and comply the company's Quality and Health & Safety procedure.

    Experience of working in a UK CAA Part 145 environment.
  • Experience of supervising staff.
  • Experience of working and certifying maintenance within Line and Base maintenance.
  • Experience of working closely with multi-site teams, building relationships and leveraging them to deliver outstanding performance in a highly regulated environment.
  • Essential Competencies:
  • Detailed knowledge of UK CAA Part 145 regulations with working practices and acceptable means of compliance within an Aircraft Maintenance Environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Understanding of UK CAA Part CAMO regulations.
  • Understanding of UK CAA CAP 562 Leaflet B-40 CAA Oversight of Military Registered Aircraft (COMRA) - Policy and Principles.
  • Understanding of MAA regulations.
  • Enjoy working both indoors and outdoors, as well as in all types of weather conditions.
  • Fluent, both written and verbal, in English.
