Full Job Description

Full Time, Permanent (Zero Hour/Ad-hoc applications also welcome) Are you tired of maintaining aircraft in the same place every day? Do you sometimes dream of visiting the places the aircraft you're maintaining are destined to go? Broadsword, part of the 2Excel Group, is a non-scheduled VIP charter airline, offering bespoke and personalised air travel. What we do is always widely varied and interesting and knowing we've exceeded clients' expectations brings enormous job satisfaction. We are now looking for Licensed Engineers to join our friendly team based at Stansted and help us deliver this exceptional service. Our Engineers on board ("Flying Spanners") are a key part of our Charter Team. This essential role will carry out daily checks, AOG support and defect rectification down route, ensuring we keep our aeroplanes flying and our customers happy. This role also supports liaison between our CAMO, Charter Planning team and our Maintenance Organisation, providing regularly oversite of and monitoring of the aircraft condition and husbandry to aid planning, rectification and pro-active maintenance.

If you're an experienced B737 Licensed Engineer, and want to say goodbye to the mundane and hello to something amazing, we'd love to hear from you! We would welcome applications from individuals who want a full-time salaried position or a more flexible zero hour option. The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A current CAA Part 66 B1 License with type ratings on B737 Classic and NG.
  • Demonstrable recency on type
  • A B2 License and rating, in addition to B1, would be a significant advantage.
  • Ability to be flexible, including spending periods away from home, sometimes at short notice
  • IT literate (MS Office, Web Based IT systems).
  • Capable of working in small team, autonomously and with minimal supervision,
  • Personable, with a customer focussed attitude.
  • Proof of right to work in the UK and unrestricted travel documentation.
  • Primarily based at Stansted Airport (EGSS), ideally you will live within a reasonable travelling distance of the airport.
  • Experience of supporting a VIP airline and/or operating as an Engineer on board is desirable but not essential.

We can offer you a competitive salary and per diems, generous holiday allowance, private health care and pension provision. Not only that, we can also offer you incredible flying experiences. On days off down route you'll get to experience some fantastic places. Just recently, our crews have spent time with turtles in Oman, hiked the trails in Kathmandu, been swimming with dolphins in Zanzibar, and snowmobiled in Finland.
