Full Job Description
Are you a Data Engineer looking to utilise best in class cutting edge technologies to deliver data products? Are you looking for ongoing professional development, working towards new qualifications while helping build and design modern cloud-based products to support The Insolvency Services data centric ambitions?, In this role you will:
- Recognise opportunities to re-use existing data flows.
- Contribute to the build of data streaming systems.
- Optimise the code to ensure processes perform optimally.
- Assist work on database management.
- Develop and enhance the utilisation of our Power BI deployment.
Experience in designing, building and deploying efficient, scalable, automated ETL/ELT pipelines such as traditional data warehousing, modern cloud data warehousing, data lake and delta lake approaches. - Experience of designing and developing data solutions on public cloud (Azure).
- Experience of one or more Programming Languages - e.g. SQL, Python.
- Understanding of data storage, data modelling and database technologies.
- Exposure to Continuous integration and deployment tools, such as GitHub.
- Experience in collaborating with digital and technology project teams as they design and build new operational systems and data streams.
- Experience in administering enterprise-level data services.
- Experience in working across the Analysis and Performance function to maximise the value of the agency's data assets.
