Full Job Description

The role of a Band 4 Therapy Support Worker is to support the delivery of therapy services to patients within the Outpatient MSK department as Gym lead. The Therapy Support Worker will work under the supervision of registered therapists and will primarily support the provision of exercise-based rehabilitation at UHB and individual patient rehabilitation for specific conditions which is competency based. The role will support both Physiotherapists who work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the Outpatient MSK team.

The Therapy Support Worker will be required to support the running of various Gym rehabilitation.

Although 5-day working is the main weekly working pattern, we currently also work on a Saturday working and therefore embrace the concept of 6 /7 day working.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our excellent, dynamic musculoskeletal out-patient Physiotherapy team in a full-time post with rota based extended & weekend working.

As part of the BHH MSK Physio team based at the 100million state-of-the-art Heartlands Treatment Centre, you would support the delivery of group-based rehabilitation classes utilising a large therapy gym, provide 1-2-1 assessment & rehabilitation for specific MSK conditions, and support the wider MSK team in the provision of musculoskeletal physiotherapy services.

You would be a key part of the team, showing enthusiasm, empathy & being proactive in problem solving, whilst having a direct role in patient care. Holding a strong interest in health & wellbeing is essential to allow you to thrive in this role.
