B6 Adult MSK Physiotherapist

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a motivated individual to join this progressive team in supporting its continual commitment to deliver high quality patient centered care.

The HMR Adult MSK Physiotherapy team is a welcoming, forward thinking and innovative team providing a comprehensive community MSK Physiotherapy service for patients with musculoskeletal/orthopaedic issues. Referrals are received from GP's, secondary care consultants , emergency departments and through patient self-referral using an innovative on-line referral platform, Physio Direct.

Out-patient clinics are held in 6 geographical locations across HMR. Treatment locations are Rochdale Infirmary, Nye Bevan House Rochdale, Phoenix Centre Heywood, Alkrington Health Centre and Langley Clinic Middleton and Littleborough in the Pennines.

Staff are expected to provide extended hours cover including evenings and Saturday mornings (on a rota basis) where needed.

Key Requirements of the Person Specification:

You will need to be a HCPC registered Physiotherapist, with proven clinical experience and relevant post graduate CPD/study in the field of musculoskeletal/orthopaedic physiotherapy. Professional registration with the CSP is highly desirable.

To perform high quality, timely physiotherapy assessment and treatment of patients referred to the service in clinics held in appropriate treatment locations in the hospital or community. To develop, implement and modify individualized treatment programmes, using a person centered and goal focused approach to management. To use and follow Orthopaedic protocols to deliver appropriate and safe care that delivers positive rehabilitation outcomes for specific orthopaedic surgeries and interventions. To be responsible for your own clinical caseload including patients with complex needs. Training will be provided in any areas identified for development. To support the Service Lead to ensure that junior staff are clear about their responsibilities and accountability and that they have received appropriate training and supervision and are competent to carry out any duties that are delegated to
them. To be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of treatment plans to ensure maximum patient benefit and health outcomes and involve patients in service evaluation and design. To be actively involved in audit. Support the development of a culture of continual improvement, accountability and governance at all levels.
