Full Job Description

An opportunity has arrived to work within one of our Safe Haven in Woking, Guildford, Epsom, Aldershot, and Redhill. This is part time position 25hrs per week, and the working hours are from 18:00-23:00hrs 5 days a week. The service is open 7days a week and you will have the opportunity to choose the days of the week you would prefer to work.This an excellent opportunity to provide short-term intervention for individual in crisis out of hours and those looking for a safe and supportive space to reduce further deterioration in mental state. Safae Havens also support people who use our services referred by Single Point of Access for crisis support. The successful candiadte will be able to make referrals to appropriate services such Home Treatment Teams, CMHRS and other services Our Safe Havens also work collaboratively with other emergency services such as Police and Ambulance services. While on shift as a qualified nurse you will be supported by 2 support workers from our partners Catalyst. Qualified nurses (NMC) are currently benefiting from a Retention Allowance. It is a 10% pay uplift on top of 5% HCAS Fringe payment.This 10% retention allowance is subject to a minimum total payment of £3,293 and a maximum total payment of £3,613 p.a. This will be paid on a monthly basis and pro-rata'd to hours worked.,

  • Discharge professional responsibilities under the Mental Health Act (1983) and revised subsequent act Mental Capacity Act (2005) and the NMC Professional Code of Conduct

  • Develop, implement and evaluate evidence based programmes of care; set standards of care and liaise with other agencies, particularly in relation to people discharged under the Care Programme Approach.
  • Participate in the multi-disciplinary assessment of individuals with mental health problems or vulnerabilities living in the community, by providing a community mental health perspective and expertise
