· CAD Literate, skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, or other 3D software
· Demonstrable knowledge of leather goods constructions & pattern cutting, bag terminology & bag materials. Some knowledge/experience of menswear accessories would be beneficial
· Creating of tech-packs , spec sheets, CAD rendering & material placement
· Working with other design teams on style/detail/material development
· Certifiable design qualification or relevant experience
· Sensitivity to fabrication and colour
· Able to ensure all new products are developed and industrialised to an agreed quality standard whilst considering relevant pricing strategies
· Generate and follow critical path timeline
· Detailed specs & modifications for communication to factory & client
· Knowledge of collection development process, set up of the Technical Sheets/documentation per collection
· Able to embrace the full design and development process and its impact on sales function and how a product is brought to market on a global basis
Administrative
· Liaising with overseas suppliers, samples management, quality control, fabric and trims, purchase orders and other admin support as required
· Previous experience working with teams
· Excellent organisations, time management and presentation skills
· Constant reviewing of the assortment and taking action accordingly
· European factory and supplier experience
· Understanding of a 'collection line plan'
· Attendance of design, merchandising and production meetings as required
· Evaluate and assess new design sketches for suitability-development & manufacturing skills, capability and capacity
· Design and development administration & email correspondence
· Timely sample preparation
· Experience working to a design/product development calendar
Interpersonal
· Work with the design team throughout the entire process including collection build out
· Work with factory and suppliers-written communication and personal visits when required
· Communicate and collaborate with the production team with regards to supplier communication
· Travel - local and international (as and when required),
· Knowledge of the fashion and lifestyle marketplace
Please note, this role will be based full-time from our Studio in London.
