Bakery Assistant

Hot Numbers Coffee Ltd is a vibrant and independent coffee roasting business serving fresh and exciting food at our three cafés in Cambridgeshire. Our large commercial bakery, based at The Roastery Café in Shepreth, has state of the art equipment and plenty of space to work in. Our passionate team produces a wide range of artisan bread, cakes and pastries to the highest standard for our cafés in Cambridge and our wholesale customers. We specialize in slow fermentation and sourdough.We are looking for creative and efficient individuals to join us at our bakery. We are continually expanding our production and are looking for passionate, hardworking people to help us with daily production and create products of the highest standard. We are dedicated to our in house training program so no experience is required! As well as our sourdough and cake production we also run pizza nights! The successful applicant will have the chance to be cross trained across every aspect of the bakery including
pizza, so this role is an exciting opportunity to learn a new skill!

Main duties and skills:

Mixing dough, folding and shaping bread.
Mixing and baking cakes, tarts and pastries.
Viennoiserie (laminated pastries).
Stock control and aiding orders.
Maintaining a high level of food safety and cleanliness.

Availability and hours of work: This is a full-time job role. The successful applicant would be looking to dedicate at least 6 months to the role due to our employee on-boarding training program here at Hot Numbers. Unfortunately, if you have plans to travel or study this role is not for you. Our full-time contracts are 32-40 hours based on a 5 day working week out of 7. You will be required to be available weekends, early mornings and the occasional evening. Our shifts are rotated as necessary.
