We opened our flagship Bakery in Piccadilly Circus in Christmas 2016 to huge acclaim and fantastic reviews. Now, you can join our Central Production bakery in Leyton, London. To help us continue delivering quality products to our Retail Bakeries and customers across London we are on the lookout for a confectioner to be part of our passionate bakery team at our central production unit in Leyton E10 London. We operate a demanding and complex production set-up, which supports 26 retail stores around London, and requires skills and experience within an artisan bakery and / or confectionary production as well as a focus on process excellence. Job Overview Primarily based at our central production unit in Leyton, London, the Bakery team leader manages the entire bakery production unit together with a small team to create a high-quality artisan product that meets food safety standards for our entire UK market. This position is essential in operating a strong and scalable bakery production set up with a strong LEAN (continuous improvement) culture, excellent hygiene, and safety standards, focus on professional development when it comes to production methods, optimizing production flows and reducing waste.,
- Efficiently producing a variety of artisan bakery products in a scalable and high-volume production setup
- Execute the daily bakery production according to production plans and ensuring we have the right amount of labour.
- Support the implementing of new products to the UK market according to the NPI process
- Ensure that products are made to correct specs and quality.
- Ensure compliance across food safety and health and safety.
- Daily reporting.
- Coach and mentor new and junior colleagues as needed, giving clear and precise goals. Production Optimisation
- Play an active role in the implementation of LEAN tools and methods
- Play a key role in driving a process excellence culture for the bakery department and the entire CPU
- Deliver excellent hygiene / food safety standards in line with UK legislation and company policies
Professional Skills - A formally trained Baker is preferred.
- Experience with piping, mixing, Hand molding, oven work and decorating
- Passionate about making good quality products and learning new techniques.
- Demonstrable ability to liaise effectively and build communication channels with colleagues and managers across the CPU and wider business.
- English must be able to speak and write English to a good standard
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of food safety and health and safety. Personal Competencies

Salar : £37,800 - 4 on 3 off (11-hour shifts) is available. This is a Full-Time with Night shift.
