Full Job Description

Part-time 30 hours per week Administrative Clerk. If you are a conscientious hard working individual who wants to join a busy but friendly team to support with the administrative day to day duties ie booking appointments and confirming with patients on the telephone, supporting with incoming calls, scanning documents, opening and distributing incoming post as well distribution and posting of outgoing clinical correspondence then you may be just what we are looking for. We have on offer a part time 30 hours per week position undertaken over 5 days supporting the secretarial team in their day to day duties. The ideal candidate would possess a minimum of Maths and English GCSE., The ideal candidate would be working alongside the busy secretarial team supporting them in their day to day duties. The ideal candidate would need to have an empathetic nature as some patients can be distressed. The main duties of the role would be opening and distributing incoming post. Booking and rescheduling clinic appointments using appropriate systems (appropriate training will be provided to appointed candidate as necessary). The successful individual would be responsible for scanning clinical correspondence, distributing outgoing clinical correspondence in a timely manner thus ensuring trust targets are met. The appointed candidate would need be required to answer the telephone and take messages as appropriate when colleagues are away from their desk or busy with other issues. The successful candidate will also be required to deliver and collect clinicians daily post to the outpatients clinic and as and when required arrange collection/deposit of patient accommodation keys and
other duties as befits the post and banding
