Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for support administrators to join the Endocrinology Secretarial Team. The post holder will support in a wide range of tasks including distributing letters, scanning documents onto patient records and telephone queries so will need to provide an empathic and sensitive point of contact for patients/relatives and carers.

Only three-month part time fixed term contracts, successful candidates would need to be on site for the contracted hours.

41 hours to be split between two positions - 1 x 20 hours and 1 x 21 hours

Main duties of the job

To assist in the provision of an effective administrative service to support the Endocrinology Secretarial team.

Schedule appointments into appropriate clinical sessions under the supervision of the coordinator/ team leader.

To schedule patients clinics using the criteria set by the Trust and the clinical specialty, identifying capacity shortfalls.

Working in conjunction with colleagues, service users and stakeholders to provide an efficient clerical support service, ensuring this is patient focused and patients receive a compassionate and professional service.
