Band 2 Health Care Support Worker

We are looking for a full time healthcare support worker to be part of a team providing comprehensive high quality care to our service users. PITU is a dynamic and friendly team at the Royal Free Hospital. The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is flexible working friendly organisation; which enable staff to be able to work in a way that is best both themselves, our patients and the organisation., To help within the PITU Unit is paramount and contributing to the overall delivery of patient care under the direction of registered nurses.

The post holder will be responsible for taking vital signs and working with registered nurses, participating during lunches, stock checks and general cleaning of the Unit.

The post holder will participate in the pre-operative and post-operative cleanliness, transfer of patients, equipment, supplies to and from PITU.

The post holder will be responsible to undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent.

The post holder will be responsible for transportation of surgical instruments to and from the hospital.
