We have 1 x 15 hour vacancy based at Loughborough Hospital for a Logistics Operative (Site Based/Driver) vacancy within our Estates and Facilities Directorate. The Logistics Operative (porter) will be a member of the Trusts Estates and Facilities Directorate working within soft FM services and will be responsible for providing a comprehensive patient support service in multiple environments. The post holder will provide a high quality responsive, efficient and effective patient support service to wards, and departments in LPT NHS Trust acting in a caring and professional manner and working in line with departmental operating procedures The post holder will involve working within a
team to provide a high quality driver courier / porter service which offers a timely responsive and pro-active service for the movement of patients, internal mail, furniture, materials and equipment within the site Applicants are asked to bring their photo ID and right to work including proof of address to their interviews Interviews will take place in the New Year, The Logistics operative will carry out the following Facilities Management functions Receipt and Distribution of Healthcare related products Transportation of linen cages, waste bins / carts in and around hospital environments. Patient moves (reception to department or department to department Domestic and Reception cover Conveyance and movement of patients by wheelchair, trolley, bed etc. including assisting clinical staff to reduce risk Movement of deceased persons complying with Trust Policies and Procedures To ensure all waste is collected, transported and disposed of in accordance with Trust Policies and procedures and current legislation.
