We have a 33.25 hours per week post our Bradgate site.

As a Facilities Assistant you will provide an effective, patient-focused Facilities Service (FM) in the delivery of cleaning, portering and catering.

You will be part of our soft FM service and be responsible for receiving, check and distribute supplies across an array of LPT sites, undertake general cleaning and food safety duties within the catering department., Details of our benefits, leadership behaviours and other important information can be found in the Information for Applicants, please view the supporting documents.

We will consider requests to work alternative hours or varied working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.

For all substantive roles, new staff (excluding medical staff) are appointed subject to a 6-month probationary period (see Probation Policy).

All jobs will require permission to work in the UK.

For all jobs the cost of any DBS disclosure required will be met by the individual. This will be deducted from salary once started.

The post holder will be reliable, flexible, well organised, self-motivated and have good interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively alone or as part of the team.

The post holder will be asked to complete a Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety course unless already a holder.

Receive frozen, chilled and ambient food.

Accept clean linen and allocate it to clinical areas

Temperature check food on arrival and record the temperatures before storing the food in accordance to the Trust Food Safety Policy (HACCP)

Clean the R&D unit i.e., fridges and work surfaces to ensure that Infection Control, COSHH and Health and Safety procedures are always followed.

Organise food supplies so they comply with that days food menu.

Collate food packets in line with the days menu ready to be passed over to the House Keeping Team
