An exciting new opportunity to work within the Emergency Department The post will provide admin support to the Department and first point of contact to all users. We are looking for someone who will work well and thrive on in this very busy environment. This post is full time and over 5 days and the hours are flexible.Main duties of the job
- To welcome patients and visitors to the Department in a friendly professional manner
- Maintain records regarding admission/discharges/ Clinic attenders/ appointments, on Clinical IT systems.
- Ensure all appropriate documentation is complete and scanned correctly.
- General clerical duties, filing, photocopying, obtaining case notes etc.
- Open and distribute mail as appropriate.
- Deal with Estates and make request for maintenance and repairs and follow up requests.
- Order stationary and maintain relevant stock levels.
- Ensure the safe keeping of Patients property in line with Trust policy.
- Deal with Pharmacy requests forms and specimens to respective departments.
