You will also have study time allocated within your working hours to gain your qualification.
We are seeking to appoint a friendly, individual with excellent communication skills to offer a positive and comprehensive customer service to patients and visitors
For this role you will undertake a 19 -month Customer Service development programme within the department through work-based learning and by attending regular training sessions. Successfully completing the training programme will lead to an Intermediate Apprenticeship at Level 2.
This role would consist of 37.5 hours per week to be worked as a 8:00am - 16:00pm shifts on Monday till Friday each week to provide a full and robust administrative support service to the clinicians on the ward in liaison with other members of the team., The ward receptionist is a key role within the administrative function for a number of reasons. This includes being the first point of contact for all visitors to our T6 ward, maintaining all administrative functions and databases, assisting with queries from patients and visitors and escalating to clinical staffing as appropriate, and maintaining patient records as required.
This role sits within the care of elderly Admin service, and uniform will be provided to the postholder and the successful candidate. The postholder will report directly to the ward manager , who will act as the first line for any and all queries.
The successful postholder must have good IT & communicational skills, and be able to deal with changing priorities and workloads, and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a wider team. Cross-cover may be required, and all administrative are trained to be able to work in all ward areas as required., NMUH North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Hospital Trust (NMUH) is one of London's busiest healthcare providers, providing hospital care and community services for the 350,000 people living in Enfield, Haringey and beyond. We also provide community services and have a dedicated 0-19 service for children and young people in Enfield so that they can get the best possible start in life. This includes health visitors and school nurses who are delivering the national Healthy Child Programme, which provides a structured framework for the delivery of key interventions to support the health and wellbeing of children and families from 0 to 5 and school aged children
