Full Job Description

We are looking for a skilled, knowledgeable administrator to join our Rural District Nursing Team. Your role will be to support the Matron and their team of district nurses to maintain a smooth and efficient service. You will be the first point of contact for Patients, Students, New Starters and other Health Care Professionals so having excellent communication skills with a supportive nature is essential. You will need to be organised, efficient, have excellent IT skills, work well under pressure whilst keeping a calm and kind approach.

You will work as one of 4 administrators for Solihull Community Nursing services. The role is based at Balsall Common Health Centre where our Rural team are based. You will provide cross cover to colleagues as necessary and provide support to our SNAP ( Call Centre) as and when necessary., You will support the Matron in building nursing rotas, support with allocation of visits and and updating patient records. You will be responsible for the ordering of equipment. Support with the induction for new starters and support student nurse allocation. You will support the team with IT needs and remote working support. You will book training and 1:1, book rooms, arrange meetings, and take minutes. You will need to review data, extract and report on team activity. You will be responsible for accurate record keeping and information sharing so it is essential that you have a good understanding of confidentiality. Understanding of safeguarding is essential in this role and understanding of escalation procedures is advantageous.
