Full Job Description

We have part-time opportunities for Radiology Department Assistants at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals Trust.

Duties will include:

o Assisting with transferring patients to and from radiology.

o Welcoming all patients and service users to the department.

o Completing administrative processes and supporting patient flow through the department.

o Booking patients in for their examinations and directing patients to the relevant waiting areas.

o Answering telephone queries.

o Preparing examination rooms and equipment.

o Assisting the Radiologists, Radiographers and Radiology Nurses during procedures.

We have opportunities for positions with a main base at either Watford General Hospital or Hemel Hempstead Hospital.

All posts are expected to work across our 3 hospital sites, including St Albans City Hospital. Working hours include weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

The duties and responsibilities of the post holder are to be an effective member of the Radiology team, providing a high standard of service to our patients and Radiology staff colleagues.

This post is ideal for strong communicators who enjoy being part of a close-knit team, whilst maintaining wider professional relationships with many disciplines within the hospital.

With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.
