Band 3 Senior Nursing Assistant - National Amyloidosis Centre

The National Amyloidosis Centre (NAC) is funded centrally by NHS England to provide the UK service for the diagnosis and management of the whole national caseload of patients with amyloidosis.

As a member of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will contribute to the delivery of patients' individual care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse., The Senior Nursing Assistant demonstrates a level of skill and understanding which enables them to undertake specific tasks delegated by the nurse in charge and in accordance with relevant procedures, guidelines and policies. S/he will undertake both routine and specially identified tasks for which they have been trained and assessed as competent. Tasks include but are not limited to, preparing patients for procedures such as MRI, measuring vital signs, assistant with diagnostic procedures such as fat aspirations, performing venepuncture, 6 minute walking tests and ECGs.

The successful candidate will also have experience in a clinical care environment/setting and have competence in Venepuncture.
