Full Job Description

We are seeking one person to join our team of ward administrators in the Royal Free Intensive Care Unit. Based on two floors the critical care unit treats more than 2,000 emergency and elective admissions a year.

As a ward administrator for ICU you will be responsible for providing a front-line reception service to the ward and for delivering a high standard of customer care to a wide range of client groups, including the ward's clinical and nursing teams, patients, relatives and their carers. You will also be involved in admitting and discharging patients through the Trust PAS and maintaining the integrity of patient data. The post holder must be able to work alone and as part of a team as required, be sociable and able to deal with the potential pressures of a busy critical care environment.

You will be working as part of a regular team on a rolling rota of three days on and three days off, 8am to 6pm. This will involve some weekend work. Across the course of an average month you will be working 33.5 hours a week, pro rata.
