Full Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join the Ward Clerk's team to provide an administrative and reception service to Maternity wards and outpatient clinics within the Maternity Unit.
You must have a high standard of literacy and numeracy and excellent keyboard skills. High level understanding and working knowledge of computer systems. A friendly and outgoing approach with patients and their families.
We currently have a vacancy for a part time role, 34.5 hours per week, shift pattern from 13:00-20:00 4 days a week and once a week 13:30-20:00.
Position is based at Watford General Hospital, Women's and Children's Services., To provide administrative services to Maternity Wards and outpatient clinics in Maternity Unit., With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.

Understanding of IT systems and able to work under pressure and multitask. Able to work as an individual and in a team also. You must have good communication and typing skills, teamwork and time management skills., You must be able to demonstrate trust values and able to perform clerical tasks e.g. patients admissions, transfers, discharges, booking outpatients clinics appointments, safety measurement at wards, PDS check and exceptional data entry skills on Maternity IT systems.
