Full Job Description

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our maternity workforce team. You will be responsible for accurate admission and discharge of women and their newborns ensuring the safe transfer of care is communicated to the community teams.

You will also be responsible for ensuring safety on the ward by monitoring the incoming and outgoing partners, visitors and women's own children adhering strictly to the maternity visiting policy. Full training is available to ensure you are fully conversant with the electronic systems used in the service.

To provide an efficient and effective clerical support service to midwifery and medical staff at ward level.

Patients across north east London are benefitting from two new state of the art theatres at KGH and our Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub will significantly increase the number of scans that can be carried out.

We're looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It'll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.
