Full Job Description

Come join our dynamic and passionate multidisciplinary team at The Haldon Eating Disorders Inpatient Service in Exeter. You will be joining a small supportive psychological team working with our 10 patients on the ward as well as supporting their families/carers and the wider team. There are opportunities to develop your psychological knowledge and skills across the clinical psychology competencies and to support the service as we develop.,

  • Taking a lead on co-developing plans with patients and their family/carers to support their emotional and sensory regulation. This involves working closely with the qualified psychologists, ward OT, and nursing team.
  • Taking a lead on ensuring patient outcome measures are completed, analysed and reported to the monthly Governance meeting.
  • Taking a lead with our Senior Peer Support Worker to facilitate our weekly community meeting with all patients to ensure our service develops based on patient feedback.
  • Taking a lead with our Senior Peer Support Worker to co-run focus groups and to design and analyse online surveys for service development activities.
  • Supporting Senior Leadership Team with data analysis on service provision to inform service development activities.
  • Taking a lead on organising, documenting and disseminating weekly team formulation sessions, including liaising with external agencies.
  • Join the team in supporting our patients in the dining room to eat when they are often distressed and modelling psychological care in action.
  • Facilitating psychological and psychoeducation groups on the ward, developing these and co-facilitating alongside the qualified psychologists and Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
  • Co-facilitating the monthly family/carers online group with the Family Therapy Assistant.
  • Providing individual skills based sessions including mindfulness and exposure work.
