Full Job Description

The apprenticeship in mammography is a new route, which will enable the mammography associate to undertake routine 2 view mammograms. You will be trained to undertake mammograms (breast x-rays) of women to aid in the early detection of breast cancer and assisting during special procedures in assessment clinics, in addition to helping with other breast screening processes as necessary.
This very busy service will require you to work in both static and mobile screening sites on a rotational basis. The area covered includes Barnet, Brent, Enfield, Haringey, Harrow, and part of Hertfordshire. This post necessitates travel across this area and therefore the use of a car and a current driving licence is desirable.

The successful candidate will be supported through the Mammography Associate Programme to obtain the qualifications to undertake screening mammography in accordance with NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) standards.
