The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality patient care according to agreed standards which are set and monitored.
You should be forward thinking, keen to work as part of a team, as well as eager to develop your own skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to manage your workload effectively.

The position involves shift work covering days, nights and weekends in children's own homes and schools. An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit Band 4 Senior Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to work as part of our team that supports children with complex health needs.
We are looking for confident innovative HCAs to join our Children's Complex Care team working across Birmingham, predominately with children requiring long-term ventilation.
The role will involve delivering care to children in a variety of settings, including their own home and school. The successful candidate will be trained in a variety of clinical skills such as gastrostomy feeding, suction, oxygen therapy using a competency based framework. You will receive continuing support in the role., You will need a good level of basic education including basic computer skills and at least NVQ level 3 in a child or young adult related subject or equivalent level of experience related subject. Experience working with children who are ventilated or have complex health problems would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided. It is also important that the successful candidate is innovative in providing play and learning opportunities for the children and young people the team support so a sense of fun and enthusiasm is essential.
You will need to be flexible within the community setting, working across Birmingham and be able to develop collaborative working relationships with other healthcare professionals, services and agencies.
