Do you have a keen interest in nutrition and its key role in in patient care and recovery? Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a Band 4 Dietetic Assistant to join our expanding, supportive team, providing dietetic care to service users within Mental Health Facilities.
The post holder will support in meeting our service priority of ensuring the nutrition and hydration needs of our inpatients are adequately met, and to work in partnership with a range of services to promote improved physical health for people with Mental Health conditions at different stages of their recovery.
The post holder will work across Trust sites with a primary focus on delivering healthy lifestyle interventions and advice to service users in our Steps to Recovery Rehab units.
The post holder will work with patients, their carers and the multi-disciplinary team to undertake delivery of nutrition education and training. The post holder will demonstrate a good understanding of the role of nutrition in healthcare and will be supported by senior members of the team, encouraged with professional development and will have access to regular management and clinical supervision to support development needs.
The department base is The Barberry Centre (Edgbaston, Birmingham) with the requirement to travel to Trust sites across the city. An element of remote working is also negotiable. This post is Mon-Fri, no weekend work or bank holiday cover required.
